Selection of organizers of camps for sports talents 2006 (updated - results)

LAA ČR has been participating in the Sports Talents program, which is published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science, since 2001, when, on the basis of a proposal by Radek Václavik, LAA ČR received funds for this program from Ministry of Education and Culture. Information about the implemented program to support sports talents in PG in previous years was published in Pilot.

Selection results

Three candidates applied for the tender.

The Mistral Paragliding school (Michal Pospíšil, Jaroslav Grulich) was chosen for the first and second training camps, the ParaFly service (Miroslav Volný) for the third training camp, and Milan Masařík for the fourth.

The course of non-standard flight modes was split in half between Mistral Paragliding and Tomáš Brauner's school.

 

With the program for sports talents in PG, the LAA ČR tries to fulfill the following goals:

– Continuation of the "Sports Talent" project from 2001-2005.
– Support the education of young pilots in the form of training camps.
– Search for new sports talents, increase their knowledge and skills in the field of paragliding and, according to their talent, include them in training camps designed for performance growth.

 

For 2006, we are looking for organizers of three training camps with the following focus:

 

1. TRAINING CAMP

Our program will include: Refresher course for paragliding pilots. The course should include an increase in professional theoretical knowledge and at the same time should provide a deepening of practical skills focusing on: ground preparation, preparation for take-off, frontal take-off, cross take-off, selection of a suitable moment for take-off, landing from a designated area to a limited area, precision competition landing, learning the basics of thermal flying, practicing thermal flying. We recommend terrain with a gradient of min. 300 meters.
Number of participants: 12 people
Term: 1. 7.-31 .8. 2006
Length of camp: 7-9 days due on holidays
The organizer will ensure: transport during the training camp, accommodation in tents, possibility to rent paragliders, reportage from the camp with photo documentation
Maximum price: CZK 40

 

2. TRAINING CAMP

Our program will include: the same as for LA 1st training camp
Number of participants: 12 people
Term: 1. 7.-31. 8. 2006
Length of camp: 7-9 days due on holidays
The organizer will ensure: transport during the training camp, accommodation in tents, possibility to rent paragliders, reportage from the camp with photo documentation
Maximum price: CZK 40

 

3. TRAINING CAMP – THERMAL FLYING

Our program will include: Flying in updrafts (find the core of the updraft and use it to climb to the maximum height), teaching basic knowledge for cross-country flying, practice landing accuracy, familiarization with the use of GPS devices.
Number: 7–8 pilots
Term: 1. 7.-31. 8. 2006
Time: 5-9 days.
Target: Teach pilots the basics of cross country flying and train thermal flying, landing accuracy in case of bad weather and familiarize pilots with GPS devices.
The organizer will ensure: transport, accommodation in tents, report from the camp with photo documentation
Maximum price: CZK 30

 

4. TRAINING CAMP – THERMAL FLYING

Our program will include: the same as for LA 3st training camp
Number: 7 pilots
Term: 1. 7.-31. 8. 2006
Time: 5-9 days
Target: To teach pilots the basics of cross country flying and train thermal flying, landing accuracy in case of bad weather and familiarize pilots with GPS devices.
The organizer will ensure: transport, accommodation in tents, report from the camp with photo documentation
Maximum price: CZK 30

 

Those interested in organizing the above-mentioned camps should send their offers by 20/6/2006 to e-mail: kamil.konecny ​​(at) post.cz. Send offers to each camp separately. Your bids will be assessed by the president of the LAA ČR, Jan Brskovský, and the board of the PG LAA ČR union. We will inform the selected organizers immediately.

Your written offer should include:

– Detailed description of the event.
– Your personal, material and technical security.
– Place, date.
– Financial conditions.

 

ATTENTION: Each organizer must hand over the billing of the training camps to the economist of the LAA CR within 14 days after the end of the event with the following documents:

  1. event billing (invoice for work performed, accommodation...)
  2. photo documentation from the event
  3. article for the pilot (approx. 1 column, the photo is taken from the previous one)
  4. evaluation of the event (overall and individual participants)
  5. collect the co-payment and pass it on when billing the LAA economy

Without these documents, the event will not be billed!
