The LAA ČR creates a system of sports rules that are linked to the FAI competition rules (www.fai.org).
Validity and approval of regulations
- The effective dates of individual sports regulations are listed in their list or directly in individual documents.
- Competition regulations are approved by:
- The FAI sports regulations are approved by the relevant sports commission (ASC, Air sport commission) according to the sector. In our case, it is the CIVL commission (Commission Internationale de Vol Libre, hang gliding and paragliding, https://fai.org/commission/civl) and the CIMA commission (Commission Internationale de Microaviation, ultralight flying and powered paragliding, https://fai.org/commission/cima).
- In these commissions, the LAA CR is represented by delegates who are directly involved in the changes and approval of sports regulations.
- The sports regulations of the LAA ČR are approved by the authorities of the relevant association:
- Sports Commission of the Paragliding Association
- Presidium of the Hang Gliding Association
- Sports Commission of the Ultralight Flying Association
- Board of the Association of Motor Paragliding

- The FAI Sporting Regulations apply in all FAI member countries (110 member countries) for registered FAI competitions
- Any organizer organizing a competition registered with the FAI must comply with the FAI Sporting Regulations
- The sports regulations of the LAA apply in the territory of the Czech Republic for national competitions and outside the territory of the Czech Republic if the (co)organizer is the LAA of the Czech Republic or its member.
- Every organizer whose competition is approved by the association's authorities must comply with the sports rules of the LAA ČR
- The FAI Sporting Regulations apply in all FAI member countries (110 member countries) for registered FAI competitions
