Category definition

A motorized paraglider is a maximum two-seater aircraft

a) with an auxiliary engine on the pilot's back, the maximum take-off weight of which does not exceed 270 kg and which allows take-off and landing from the pilot's feet, or

b) with a drive located on the landing gear, the maximum take-off weight of which does not exceed 300 kg for a single-seater paraglider and 450 kg for a two-seater paraglider.
