Starting point support system

Fund for support of starting points

The PG Association supports the self-governing system of airfield care as the most effective and long-term sustainable way to manage, maintain and improve the conditions for flying on airfields in the Czech Republic.

The starting point support fund is used to provide financial assistance to associations when building a new starting point, expanding an existing one, or other opportunities that the situation at the given starting point requires. Support takes the form of a non-refundable or refundable loan.

The PG Association is able to support the launch site in the following ways:

  1. Fund the creation of information boards with basic information about flying on the given terrain and a cut-out map of the areas around the given launch site for the managers of the take-off sites.

  2. The PG Association is able to offer launch site managers the publication of information about their launch sites in the Pilot magazine or here on the website.

  3. In case of legitimate need, financially support the starting point from the financial reserves of the PG Association. Union finances can be used in the following cases:

    • endangering the take-off site - maintenance of traffic on the take-off site.

    • the commissioning of the new launch site, including the official opening of the previously unofficial launch site.

    • exclusion of the land of the starting point from fulfilling the function of the forest.

    • acquisition of the launch site land into the ownership of the civic association managing the launch site.

    • significant improvement of the conditions for flying at the take-off site (e.g. necessary landscaping, strengthening of the surface where erosion occurs, etc.).
