Objectives of financial support
The aim of financing the PG Association is to ensure the long-term stability and development of paragliding in the Czech Republic. The PG Association currently provides
- Union PG's operations
- Support for take-off and landing areas
- Towing support
- Support for actions to increase safety
- Support for repacking reserve parachutes
- Support for pilots' sporting activities
- Support for XC, ACC, H&F competitions
- Support for the national representation of XC, ACC, H&F, ACRO
- Organization and support of the talented youth program
- Representation in international organizations (CIVL, EHPU)
CURRENT SOURCES OF FUNDING
The sources of funding for the Union PG are as follows:
Membership fees of LAA CR (in 2025)
- Union PG contribution: 200 CZK*
- Contribution to PG representation: 100 CZK*
- Pilot magazine: 400 CZK
- Map: 50 CZK
- Association operation: 350 CZK
Total to LAA CR: 1 CZK, of which directly to the Union PG: 100 CZK + 200 CZK.
*This is a contribution of 300 CZK per year for a pilot who is a member of the LAA and the PG Association at the same time in a given year. Of this amount, 100 CZK is directed to financing the state paragliding representation. If the pilot is a member of the LAA but not a member of the PG Association, this amount is distributed proportionally between all associations according to the number of their members.

- Own funds (the association tries to create reserves from income from membership fees)

SUPPORT STRUCTURE FROM CURRENT SOURCES
NSA subsidy

The Sport subsidy finances:- Competition support: Czech XC Championship, Czech AAC Championship, Czech H&F Championship, XC League, AAC League, H&F League, Czech Paragliding Cup, other competitions
- Terrain support: support for existing terrains, support for the creation of new terrains
- Additional support for the talented youth program
- Drag support
- Support for repacking reserve parachutes
- Support for security activities and seminars
- Operation: running of the Union PG, officials' remuneration, travel expenses
- International activities: CIVL, EHPU
- Representation
The representation subsidy finances:- Pilot support at FAI 1 competitions (World and European Championships)
- Support for pilots in preparation for FAI 1 races
- Support for pilots in important international competitions that do not have FAI 1 status and preparation for them (especially the H&F discipline)
- The work of the Team Leader of individual national teams
- Individual awards for results at FAI 1 competitions
- Talented Youth
The Talented Youth subsidy finances:- Concentration within the program (with participation)
- Contributions to entry fees at selected races
- Contributions to junior national team training
- Performance incentives
- Purchase of small equipment during times of abundance (devices, chairs, etc.) for loan to program members
Resources from subsidies may be used strictly only in accordance with the instructions arising from the relevant subsidy title.
Member contributions
The association tries to accumulate funds from membership contributions in case of unexpected expenses or to cover key projects in the event of a funding shortfall, for example, in the event of an unexpected significant decrease in grant funds.
Other sources
In addition to the accumulated contributions (see above), these are mainly sponsorships for individual pilots of the national team to ensure sports training.
