The Paragliding Association is trying to provide pilots in the Czech Republic with the best possible conditions for free flying and for the development of the Czech representation in paragliding. Through the Launch Site Support Fund and the Promotion Fund, they are trying to improve the quality of launch sites and the media image of paragliding in the Czech Republic. It also takes care of the submission of grants to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports for talented youth and for the Czech representation, and every year it provides organizers for races for Czech pilots (MČR, Liga, ČPP).
Membership benefits
Membership in the Paragliding Association is tied to membership in the LAA. It is already free within LAA. There are several advantages of membership. In addition to the current map of the airspace on a scale of 1:500 and the Pilot magazine, you also get the opportunity to participate in decisions about the association's functioning through the general meeting, a discount on season tickets for some hills and a discount on the entry fee for competitions sponsored by the paragliding association (e.g. ČPP, Liga, MČR ).
Another plus is the expression of LAA support - a wider membership base gives LAA a better position when dealing with the authorities, the MD, but also with the insurance company when negotiating insurance conditions that are tailored to LAA pilots.
Registration for the Paragliding Association can be done when you log in to LAA, if you did not do so when you logged in, you can do it additionally.
How to become a member of the Union PG
If you are a member of the LAA CR, but not the Union PG, just send a completed form to the LAA.
If you are not a member of LAA, then fill out the application form and pay the membership fee (CZK 800/year). All payments can be made in cash during a personal visit to the LAA ČR, by postal order type C to the address of the LAA ČR, or by bank transfer. In the message for the recipient, enter: ČLP.
