We invite you to this year's meeting of all LAA SOBĚ expertise and at the same time to the gathering of Heavenly Angels, which will take place in Jihlava on June 20, 2026.
Following the very good experience from last year, a unified arrival procedure remains in force this year. Its aim is to streamline arrivals into one coordinated flow, increase safety, and ensure sufficient separation between aircraft before landing.
This air traffic organization around the airport is only valid on Saturdays. On other days, it is not mandatory to follow it, but I still recommend that you familiarize yourself with the procedure, as it will help you better navigate the expected traffic.
There is only one change compared to last year – this year there will be no winch paragliding operations at Jihlava Airport. Arrivals and departures will therefore not be time-limited.
We believe that thanks to mutual consideration, careful preparation, and a clearly defined procedure, this year's rally will take place safely, smoothly, and in a relaxed atmosphere, both in the air and on the ground.
ARRIVAL THROUGH ENTRY POINTS
- Report before entering the ATZ by standard radio correspondence on the frequency Jihlava RADIO 123,490 MHz with arrival information "through Ždírec".
- According to the information from the RADIO service and the current runway in use, confirm your arrival via "THE DEVIL – THE PEACOCK", or "ZHÍREC – KOZLOV".
- Enter through the ŽDÍREC point at 2,800 ft AMSL and proceed according to the plan for the current runway in use.
- Arrange yourself so that it is created uniform flow of traffic through the ŽDÍREC point and further according to the map of the current runway in use to the final runway.
- Next, report the location. downwind a final.
- Create and maintain safe and constant spacing from other aircraft.
- Don't fly past other aircraft.
- Do not extend your arms. arrival routes, maintain a compact shape.
- Follow the information broadcast on the Jihlava airport frequency.
LANDING
- An aircraft may only land on a runway if the runway is clear and not occupied by other traffic.
- After landing, the aircraft must clear the runway to the north side of the VPD as soon as possible so as not to impede further traffic.
- Follow the organizers' instructions for parking on the stand and follow them.
SAFETY WARNING
- Avoid built-up areas when flying – respect noise limits.
- Follow VFR rules and consistently check the area around you.
- Expect increased activity other aircraft in the vicinity.
- if If you cannot maintain a safe distance, return to the "ŽDÍREC" point and try again.
- Do not continue the approach if any dangerous situation occurs. In this case, repeat the arrival procedure.
- If you arrive without a radio, call LKJI (+420 567 221 574) for up-to-date information before your flight. Arrive as normal over the airport at 3,300 ft AMSL and then join the traffic. I recommend arriving and departing outside the 9:00–13:00 interval.
DEPARTURE
- First push the plane into free space in front of or behind the aircraft. During engine start-up, the pilot must not endanger persons or property behind the SFD with the propeller air stream..
- Radio the commencement of taxiing to the runway-holding position in use and post-takeoff activity.
- Follow the organizers' instructions for taxiing to the holding area and information broadcast on the Jihlava airport frequency.
- Announce by radio that you are holding at the holding position and entering the runway.
- Depending on the runway in use, take off according to the plan.
- Radio the departure from the ATZ.
