On Friday, February 27, 2026, during a gala evening at the Vinohrady Theater in Prague, on live television Aviation Athletes of the Year 2025 announced.
In first place in the Aviation Athlete of the Year poll were three gliders (Aeroclub of the Czech Republic), Tereza Koubková, Klára Teichmannová and Alena Netušilová, who together contributed to the phenomenal victory of the Czech colors at the World Gliding Championships in Zbraslavice.
Second place goes to the crew Petr Jonáš – Marek Velát (AeČR, LAA ČR), who won the title of world champion in air rally for the third time.
Two third places were announced: one went to Petr Beneš (LAA ČR), who won the title of world champion in hang gliding for the second time last year, and one went to Czech parachutists (AeČR) Hynek Tábor, Oldřich Šofr, Miroslav Kříž, Bonifác Hájek and Jiří Gečnuk, for gold from the European Championship.
