Like last year, the FAI licenses for 2026 are virtual only.
Applicants fill in their email address in the form (link below) and will receive the FAI license in electronic form.
An FAI license is required for all races included in the FAI calendar, i.e. also for Czech League and MČR races.
To issue an FAI license for 2026, proceed as follows:
– you must be a member of the LAA and the Paragliding Association or another association under the LAA (can be verified online) and have a valid pilot's license
- if you are not a Czech citizen, a permanent residence in the Czech Republic for at least 6 months is a condition
– you should be familiar with FAI sports regulations (no one will test you on it, but as an FAI license holder you should be familiar with it)
– fill in the form: FAI License 2026 - FORM
– pay 250 CZK (amount according to the new price list of LAA fees) to the LAA account 2800066859 / 2010 - do comment add FAI License 2026 - {first and last name}, e.g. “FAI license 2026 – Josef Novák”, and also fill in yours social security number like variable symbol – this will enable the automatic matching of the payment with your person and thus faster processing of the request.
Then wait for the license to arrive in your email. This usually takes 14 days.
