A new area, TSA 80, southwest of Náměšť Airport, will soon appear in the airspace of the Czech Republic, which will be used for testing unmanned aerial vehicles. TSA 80 follows the plan boundaries of TRA 13 and has a vertical range from the ground to a height of 1 ft AGL, TRA 000 from the ground to FL 13.
Given the size of the new area, approximately 15 km x 15 km x 1 feet, its activation would create an almost unbeatable area for flying, especially unmanned aerial vehicles. The area is often used, especially on weekends, when military TRAs are not active.
LAA CR has been in negotiations with its future operator since the proposal for the creation of this area, and we managed to agree on conditions that allow flights over this area even for non-motorized SFD.
Upon request, the operator of the area will allow unmanned aerial vehicles to fly over the TSA 80 area on weekends and holidays. The condition for permission is that the XCTrack application is running in Livetracking mode, which will allow the operator to avoid the drone and unmanned aerial vehicle in the event that it descends into the TSA 80 area.
The specific procedure required to safely conduct a flight over this area is described in the agreement attached to this report.
