The next round of the Czech XC paragliding league will take place on 29.5.–1.6. 2025 at Raná u Louny and Krupka. The point prediction for the winner when completing 3 valid tasks is 26 points in the WPRS. 24 male and 5 female pilots have registered and confirmed for the race.

Norta Cup 2025
The Norta Cup race, which took place this weekend in Raná, unfortunately suffered a bit from the late announcement of the race, when many pilots had already registered for the Austrian race abroad. Moreover, the weather was not as kind as the registered pilots would have imagined. The organizer ultimately shortened the race from 4 to two tasks, of which too strong wind made two valid for the race, but only one for the overall ranking of LA 2025 XC league.
However, that doesn't bother those who came back after a year (in the case of the Norta Cup, after two) to see Ranou, experience a nice two-day hike, sometimes not only up but also down, have a good beer and enjoy a grill, and finally master the tactically demanding start choice.
Usually, at Raná, they fly in elapse time, i.e. the gates open after xx minutes. This year was no different and today's task was won by those who chose an early start. The chaos that came not only did not allow the pilots to fly, but those who would have dared to do so were subsequently checked by Igor Norton Slovak - the organizer - who closed the starting window early for safety reasons.
However, this year's Norta Cup has two undeniable firsts! The organizer created 5 Whatsapp groups, which means that the ratio of groups is 1 group to 6 pilots. What was very important was the choice of group, because the most important thing was clearly the presence in the "Refreshments" group, while whoever omitted the "Retrive" group might not have even thought about it!
Despite, or precisely because, paragliding competitions are often a thankless undertaking due to the weather, we are happy for the organizers who take on the organization of the league with such enthusiasm and, despite not having flown much, the pilots leave satisfied, with refreshments and a great baseball cap with the inscription - Pilot inside!
Moreover - and this is the second first - there is rarely a shootout in XC, and due to the great interplay of points between many pilots, there was one!

The overall winner of the race was Ferri František Brož.
Vincent Grampp came in 2nd place and Oldřich Brož took third place. Ferri had to retire, so Olda – Brož as Brož took the podium for him! (Btw. Vincent in second place was obviously lucky that Petr Brož didn't show up for the race!)
In the women's category, Štěpánka Osinová won, followed by four pilots with the same number of points – Anabel Slováková, Erika Němčeková, Jana Nováková and Monika Filipová.
