Training camp for the representative team and talented youth of motor paragliding
On the last weekend of March, 28–30. 3. 2025, a training camp for the national team and talented youth of the Motor Paragliding Association took place in Železná Ruda. The event took place at the Slavoj chalet and the capacity was completely filled. Friday evening was marked by the meeting of the participants and a pleasant atmosphere, to which the owner of the chalet also contributed with his hospitality and an excellent dinner.
Saturday morning was not very kind to us – because of the rain, we waited after breakfast until the weather cleared up. Shortly after ten o'clock we set off on a hiking trip. The first stop was the Kneipp spa, where we tried a hardening procedure for our feet in pools with different surfaces. Everyone decided to go through this unconventional experience and diversify their morning. We continued to the center of Železná Ruda and then climbed the ski slope to Belvedere, where we had lunch. In the afternoon, we returned to the chalet to welcome the last participant, Kryštof, a new member of the Talented Youth program, we would like to welcome him among us once again. At the same time, a meeting of the board of directors was held here, which was in full force. In the evening, we relaxed in the sauna and enjoyed another great dinner. We ended the day with training on the Flymaster live tracking device, which was prepared for us by Karolína Lietavcová. We thank her for her willingness and useful lecture!
Sunday's program concluded with a ride on the chairlift to Pancíř. Even though the weather was not ideal – it was cold and the wind had picked up – we were offered a beautiful view of the surroundings. After descending back to the cottage, we said goodbye and headed home, full of impressions and motivation for the next season.
