Where is the new launch site being built?
Due to the unexpected local invasion of new pilots last year, the idea arose to build a launch pad for novice pilots. We approached the old hang gliding representative guard from the former Delta Club Karlovy Vary, Jaromír Černý and Emil Dvorožňák (discoverers of almost all local terrains), and with the recent change of owner of the selected land, who is also a big aviation fan, great hope for success immediately arose.
All that remained was to address the surrounding owners and their tenants, the district manager and the administrator of the Forests of the Czech Republic, and the most difficult thing was to end with "negotiations with the presidency of the Paragliding Association".
Then it went like clockwork, cutting out small invasive trees in a way that did not delay the hired equipment.

Covering fertile soil, adjusting the slope of rocky terrain and then covering the area with geotextile and planting with grass seed, so that the start is as smooth as possible.
most favorable. There was a great and passionate discussion on the subject of inclination. Hopefully, the correctness of the solution will be confirmed during the first practice launches.

And all this under the strict supervision of the aforementioned Emil Dvorožňák, who also ensured that the slope of the launch pad was suitable and rounded, not only for hang gliding.

The young and restless also participated, even though the girls don't like to be photographed, but that doesn't apply to the young, talented pilot and hopefully future rescuer Šimon Puškáč, but also to the recent graduates who didn't quite like our modest starting area on Černý vrch. Anička Babáčková, Marcela, Leona, Verunka, Radek Hladík and Petr Varady, and also Viktor Zemančík, who is joining the course this year, Jonáš Vavroušek, Julie Trunečková and we hope that other young members of the TJ Klášterec nad Ohří club will join. That is, if their mothers allow them or at least their fathers sign.

We believe that our joint efforts will be rewarded with an easy takeoff, staying on the slope in the weakest possible wind, and the prospect of safe flying and landing.

The actual welding of the pre-prepared stainless steel column parts into position and the subsequent concreting of the foundation for attaching the mast was just the icing on the cake with a slight mistake.
The question is, where are the comrades from the People's Democratic Monastery and company Did Heat-Cold make a mistake?

After erecting the mast itself in wind gusts of up to 14 m/s, it can be assumed that as long as the mast is still standing, it is safe to fly - this only applies to hang gliding.
With his own diplomacy, Václav Truneček negotiated with the Ladislav Lavřín free loan. He selflessly let himself fly that day so that the person in question wouldn't change his mind and thus brought considerable
victim. The mast will need to be shortened a little to prevent a repeat of the situation from Černý vrch and another collapse of the probe.

It is important to connect the ParaPotěr, which thoroughly combs the lawn, unfortunately even 50 meters from the possible location of the wing - especially since it growls and makes dust.

It would probably not have been possible without heavy equipment. Finally, it was time to prune the lower part of the growth. Partial pruning seemed easy at first, but the opposite was true.

It doesn't seem like it, but it's almost perpendicular - no problem for Šífa, though.

The cutting of the tips of the Modříny part was carried out by Václav Čížek, better known by the nickname Ladič. The fighters and pilots from the Klínovec Air Force are also ready for the next cutting, so where is Kůrovec digging?
In the background for most pilots, an emergency landing pad on a football field.

Everything is ready for test flights, during which the most ideal landing area will be determined and which would best suit the additional windsock.
The name of the starting area "Placák" was approved by a large majority. The name is not directly searchable according to the maps for cross-country skiing, so at least basic info.
- Usti Region
- western part of the Chomutov district
- village Perštejn

The greatest contribution to the implementation of the entire project, including the provision of heavy equipment and the provision of almost all adjacent meadows for landing, belongs to the already mentioned Radek Hladík, for whom we are very grateful.
