Barbecue, great snack packs, much worse weather and conditions and therefore one bad task and one no task so far. No problem, we will be happy to read about this year's Mosel Trophy from the pen of a Czech pilot. Thank you for the report and we wish you better conditions and a written task tomorrow!

What wasn't nice was the forecast of strong wind and what we in our group didn't quite understand was why we went to the start where it was blowing straight across. The wind was quite swirling in the gap, which made it difficult for the regular German wind-dummies to take off. Surprisingly, they didn't go straight to the ground, but it didn't look optimistic.
Petr started as LA 2nd racing pilot, he turned, but it was too early. He flew to the opposite, much better situated in terms of wind direction, but also a tiny edge, he turned there for the second time, when he could go out on the track, but then he didn't meet anything.
With the thermals came strong winds and a lot of turbulence, which tested the safety of Jirka Zeno. The classic pilot's prayer with his hands under his ass worked, and Zeno obediently returned above the pilot despite protests. Jirka patiently descended in the same place as Petr, but the nice climb did not come.
A group of 5 pilots took off long after the last gate and managed to find a riser above the landing strip in the middle of the valley. In the end, most of them reached the finish line, making the task valid.
Unfortunately, the pilot was injured after takeoff, when flying into turbulence along the hill ended with the pilot falling to the ground (without throwing a bookmark). The pilot ended up in the hospital and we wish him luck and strength for his recovery. The takeoff was terminated 15 minutes early for rescue work.
On Saturday we were waiting to see if we would even go up the hill because of the wind. In the end, the organizer gave many alternative programs because it was blowing hard. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to be weaker, so maybe we will finally fly.”
