Honza Jareš belongs to the real "Quiet force". An inconspicuous but very successful pilot who is turned to for advice by many a pilot in the race, as well as by many an organizer. His always good attitude, technical ability, calmness and foresight have already helped in more than one difficult situation.
After completing the ČVUT FEL faculty, Honza took a paragliding course at Rané in 2008 and then flew independently from 2009. He agrees with the words of Farár (Michal Pospíšil), who told him then that flying would change his life. And he was right.
Until then, he was very actively involved in another hobby, amateur radio broadcasting (HAM radio) and went to amateur radio competitions in the single operator category, where he reached the top several times. After the start of intensive flying, radio broadcasting went into the background, Honza goes to amateur radio competitions only as a helper in the radio club.
Some form of electro obviously accompanies Honza in all possible stages and spheres of life. Not only amateur radio, not only paragliding devices, but also co-ownership of his own company eHAMnet s.r.o., which is an Internet connection provider (ISP) and which he and two colleagues built from scratch.
And what is Honzo's aviation experience?
Unfortunately, after the course, he was no longer old enough to join Talented Youth, so he could not take advantage of this great opportunity for budding young pilots. He started flying on the Orbit 2 wing, which he replaced in the meantime with the Axis Vega 2. Then he mainly switched to Gradients. Aspen 6, Aspen 5, Aspen 4 (that one was great back then too).
Then came the turning point in 2018, when Honza, after a long hesitation, switched to his first two-line UP Meru, category EN-D. He remembers this wing a lot, it was a great piece with which they chased CCC wings together and it had a major influence on his racing career.
Since August 2021, he has been flying the Ozone Enzo 3, for the first time at the Superfinal in Switzerland at Disentis, where he finished 34th overall. At the time, he flew the second task with a lead of 2 minutes, but in the end, unfortunately, he did not win it due to the lack of leading points.
Honza values the team results at the World Cup in Argentina 2021 and the World Cup in Serbia 2022 as a member of the national team the most.
Since the constellation of Honzo's achievements is great, we present a small recapitulation:
2021 World Championship - Teams - 3rd place
2022 European Championship - teams - 2nd place
From the individual results 2x 13th place at the WC in Argentina 2021 with the WC in Serbia 2022
2021 World Championships - Open - 13th place
2022 European Championship - open - 13th place
double champion of the Czech Republic (2019 Slovenia, Tolmin and 2023 Slovakia, Fatra Cup)
2022 - PWC Korea, Gochang - open - 2nd place
2022 - Alpen Cup, Kossen, Austria - open - 1st place
