Statement of the Sports Commission on the revocation of Markéta Tomášková's FAI license

Markéta Tomášková statement on the decision of the Sports Commission

At the end of the PGAWC World Cup competition in Turkey on April 27-30.4. the FAI has been violated

according to the rules, our pilot, who was subsequently disqualified from the competition, and according to the rules, the director of the competition

informed the FAI.

In accordance with FAI rules (FAI SC General section 6.1.5) which delegate the disciplinary initiative to the NAC and

based on a written initiative from the CIVL/FAI Vice President, we decided to suspend the validity

FAI license granted by NAC CR until 31.10.2023. The female pilot loses her status from the date of the SK decision

representative of the ACC until 31.12.2023 and from disqualification loses the right to support the representative.

We reached the decision after a thorough review of the event, when we had statements available

witnesses to the incident, the team leader of the national team, the organizer and the opinion of the pilot, from which it follows

following:

  •  The representative deliberately disobeyed the order of the organizer, which led to disqualification in the race for unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • By canceling the results, the overall results of the Czech team in the World Cup were damaged.
  • The incident further damages the good name of the Czech Republic national team and thereby violates the National Team Agreement in points 1.1, 1.3.

We came to the conclusion that the pilot's actions violated the principles of fair play and did not comply with the standards

sportsmanship expected from a member of the national team.
