Hello male and female pilots.
The preparation for this year's championship was not easy. We started last year in November and only now are we clear. During this time, we considered holding events in three countries outside the Czech Republic. We communicated with two entities in Slovenia, one Austrian club, as the best of all options, we chose the proven cooperation with the French association FFVL.
This year, the competition for the title of champion of the Czech Republic will take place behind seven mountains and seven rivers. We will be racing in the French Pyrenees as part of the French Time Trial Championship 8 - 15.7. 2023. The race days are from July 9.7 to July 14.7, 2023. The competition will be held in a picturesque village Genos under the terrain Val Louron.
Known facts:
- Entry fee 130 EUR until 8.6.2023/160/XNUMX, then XNUMX EUR
- Allocation for 18 CZ pilots to 25.5.2023
- Transport of pilots to the start will be carried out by cable car (7 EUR), Rogala will be taken out by the local club by car.
The total capacity of the competition is a maximum of 60 pilots (30 FR + 18 CZ + 12 other nationalities). This is mainly due to the timely transport of the wings for the competition day.
After communicating with the organizers, transporting equipment to the start should not be a problem even for non-competing pilots. With a high probability, the allocation will not be filled until May 25.5, so more Czech pilots will be able to participate in the competition than allocated on May 18.
Another question may be the distance to the venue, 1700 km is not enough. However, we have the opportunity to fly to a unique place in the French Pyrenees. We can use the shortened working week before the competition (public holidays) to travel to the competition venue. Traditionally, we will try to support the competition participants financially from the NSA Sport subsidy program.
Local flying is safe with plenty of landing options. So don't hesitate to arrive even less experienced pilots without racing ambitions. I hope that we all have a good time in 2023, not only in the Pyrenees.
