like me, you received an email with a "folder" to pay for association and union membership. The amount of the membership fee for the year 2023 is 1100 CZK instead of the previous 950 CZK and was voted on at the conference. Our delegates (thank you for the "sacrificed" day) know how the negotiations took place and what the composition of the budget is.

The composition of the membership fee can be simply divided into the following areas: administration and "association fee".
In administration is spending growth due to:
– rising energy and rent prices
– an increase in wages in response to high inflation
– increase in postal fees, printing prices (map, pilot)
We are now contributing CZK 50 more to this part. It would not be enough to maintain the budget, so the price list of the actions was also adjusted. (issue of license, TK, etc.)
In "binding" is an increase of CZK 100 (i.e. CZK 200 in total).
Our membership base is small, so it generated roughly 15-16 thousand CZK per year. We finance most of our activities from NSA funds. We are saving our "own" funds, and we have about 280 already in the union's assets, mainly from our contributions.
This part was the most discussed point of the conference. Many delegates opposed this increase. In my opinion, in our case, the increase does not make sense. With an increase of 15-20 thousand a year, we will not invent the same great music. Unlike large unions, where these amounts are in the range of smaller hundreds of thousands per year.
There was another alternative, namely the introduction of a union contribution (as ULL has), which would not force a general increase. The representatives of the ZL union voted for this proposal, but it did not pass the conference and the fee was changed across the board. We have to accept the increase.
It is true that the union contribution remained the same for years and its value was thus reduced by almost half due to inflation.
On behalf of the ZL presidency, I can only say: "We will use the funds in the best possible way for the preservation and development of flying on the rogans.".
