Course - Safely in the air 2018

The fall and early winter ski season is here. Starts in strong turbulent wind from overgrown hills and borders require experience, skill and training. Therefore, come and gain confidence at the start.

The course will take place this weekend, October 5-6 (alternative date October 19-21). On the first day, we will focus on testing the pilot's skills and identifying shortcomings in his take-off technique or landing. The test will take place on a training hill and on a school glider, i.e. in the configuration that is most suitable for revealing the mentioned pilot deficiencies. After the test and determination of the shortcomings, efforts will be made to correct them. On the second day on a bigger hill, the participant will fly his own glider and we will try to transfer the newly learned skills to flying on his own, usually more powerful wing. An integral part of the project will also be the adjustment of harnesses, suspension and gliders themselves.

The course is used to increase the safety of hang gliding, to remove fears about flight and to hone the technique, especially the take-off or landing and all under expert supervision.
