Selection procedure for organizers of camps for Sports Talents 2015

The Paragliding Association LAA ČR is announcing a selection process for the organizers of camps for pilots included in the Sports Talent Program.

Types of camps:

  • Camps for beginners and intermediates in the Alps

Since a large number of less experienced pilots have joined the program, it is necessary to interest them and motivate them to continue flying. Develop knowledge and skills of pilots - take-offs/landings, basic flying in thermals, theoretical analysis of weather and tracklogs on the computer.

Included in the price: accommodation, flight field fees and travel during the camp.

Dates: May - September

It is recommended to have an alternate date listed in case of unfavorable weather at the planned location.

  • Camps for beginners to advanced in the Czech Republic

Last year's camp in Všechov proved successful, so we would like an interesting camp in the Czech Republic. The camp should be designed for both the less experienced and the advanced. Develop pilot knowledge mainly for Czech conditions, interception at low altitude, theoretical analysis before flying and evaluation after flying.

Included in the price: accommodation, flight field fees and travel during the camp.

Dates: May - September

It is desirable to have an alternative date listed in case of unfavorable weather at the planned location.

  • Management of talents during the international race

For this year, I would like advanced pilots to participate in two international races (probably German, French, Austrian or Italian championships). Therefore, we are ideally looking for an instructor and/or racing pilot who would be at the races with the talents and help them during the race, advise which route to choose, who they should stick to, etc.

Included in the price: accommodation, instructor start fee, travel to and from the race

Dates: according to the races + ideally two days to fly in advance on the local terrain

  • Management of talents during the MČR Krushevo

For the same needs as for an international race, we are ideally looking for an instructor and/or racing pilot who would be at the MČR with talents and help them during the race, advise which route to choose, who they should stick to, analyze the route by task, etc.. Because here there will probably also be talents for whom this will be the first race in their life, it is necessary to devote the maximum possible time to them. An LAA car with a driver will probably go from Prague to transport the talents to the place. There is no need to include the trip in the budget.

Included in the price: accommodation, instructor's entry fee

Dates: 25.7. – 1.8.2015 + ideally two days to fly in advance on the local terrain

  • "Post-season" camp for the best of the program abroad

As a reward for the most active members of the program for 2015, we want to organize a camp in places where you can still fly well in thermals in September (southern Italy, France, the Dolomites...). Of course, learning take-offs/landings, flying in thermals, theoretical analysis of weather and tracklogs on a computer is desirable.

Included in the price: accommodation, flight field fees and travel during the camp

Dates: September - October

  • Management of talents during the competitions of the Czech League PG

For the same needs as at the MČR, we are ideally looking for an instructor and a racing pilot who would be in the PG league with talents and help them during the race, advise which route to choose, who they should stick to, analyze the route by task, etc. Because they will probably be here even for talents for whom this will be the first race in their life, it is necessary to devote the maximum possible time to them.

Included in the price: accommodation, entry fee

Dates: according to the races + ideally two days to fly in advance on the local terrain

Offers must include:

  • introduction of the lecturers who will conduct the training, provided equipment of the school during the training
  • program, or description or concept of the camp
  • minimum/maximum number of participants
  • breakdown of finances in itemized budget - see example
  • place and date of the camp
  • alternate camp date
  • information on whether another school event will take place at the same time as the camp (e.g. thermal trip for clients)

sample itemized budget:

Co-participation will be determined based on the evaluation of the offer to the VŘ in agreement with the organizer.

Each organizer must hand over the accounting of the camps to the economist of the LAA CR within 20 days after the end of the event:

  1. the actual accounting of the event taking into account the plan (invoices, tax documents....)
  2. co-payment selected (independent of withdrawal from participants)

Within 20 days after the end of the event, you need to deliver to the head coach:

  1. photo (video) documentation from the event (several photos from the camp)
  2. article for Pilot magazine (at least half a page - in a copy also on redakce@laacr.cz )
  3. written evaluation of the event entered on svazpg.cz (overall description and evaluation of individual participants)

A deduction of 20% will be claimed if the set deadline of 20 days for the delivery of documents is not met

Bids will be judged on:

  • reliability in previous years
  • qualifications of lecturers
  • financial budget
  • place and date of the event
  • offered services/program or concept

The talented youth currently owns 5 Woxun and Baofeng radios, by the summer there should be 10 of them, so it is possible to borrow radios for the camp.

Offers can be sent by email until April 30.4 predsednictvo@svazpg.cz mikulas@pmsound.cz
