Air sportsman of the year – paragliding
SK has agreed on the nominations of pilots for the field of paragliding.
New ranking – a proposal created at the initiative of Pavel Iker
After discussion, SK decided not to accept the new ranking for next year and to keep the current ranking, for the following reasons:
1) Dependence on the FAI ranking - in the event of a change, it would be necessary to address the impact on our system and also whether the change would be desirable for our ranking. In the past, changes in the FAI ranking were not announced in advance, during the last change the FAI ranking was also recalculated retroactively.
2) The complexity of the new ranking - opacity
3) The point rating of the pilot within the race would depend only on the ranking - in some races this may give inadequate results. Evaluation according to the points achieved in the race is a better option (the optimal option would be a combination of both approaches).
4) Very lukewarm or critical acceptance of the proposal by the members of the representation prevailed
For the next season, Petr Chromec and Standa Klikar will prepare a proposal for changes in the current ranking (keeping the principle), which should be discussed with the representatives during the next season.
Publishing results on the new LAA website
SK entrusted Hynka Obořila with coordinating the publication of sports results in the PG area on the future new LAA website. Organizers of sports competitions in paragliding, other than competitions organized by the PG Association (MČR, Liga, ČPP), can contact him if they are interested in publishing the results. It is necessary to provide a list of results and possibly a short text about the course of the competition.
Proposal to change the ČPP rules by Vítek Fedra
SK discussed the proposal to change the rules of the ČPP, especially the scoring change, and decided to collect more information and documents for the decision until next time.
