Issues and development of negotiations:

Two business entities asked the authorized authorities for the possibility of felling forest cover on Javorové vrch. In different locations.

The Forest Administration asked LAA ČR for advice in connection with these requests, LAA ČR commissioned SvazuPG to assess the situation for LAA ČR from the point of view of paragliding operations.

Members of the board personally visited Javorový vrch and got acquainted with the current situation, representatives of PG schools, which operate and train in the Beskydy region, were invited to the meeting of the board and expressed an unbiased opinion on the situation. Furthermore, on the basis of all available information, a form was prepared for the evaluation of the creation of a new launch area (see application for support from the launch site fund), which was handed over to the LAA of the Czech Republic. For the benefit of paragliding in the area, a situation that would allow both projects to be carried out would be the most beneficial.

The Chief Inspector of paragliding operations also got to know the situation on Javorové vrch personally.

The director of the Forestry Administration, Jablunkov, after a meeting with representatives of the Czech Republic's LAA, commented on the issue that there will be no felling on Javorový vrch until the two business entities come to an agreement.

Despite strong one-sided intervention and personal attacks by supporters of the "western" variant, the Union PG presidency tried to assess both variants independently.

The Jablunkov Forestry Administration has the main say regarding the creation of a new or modification of the existing starting area, which insisted on the agreement of both business entities.

According to the latest information, both entities have reached an agreement and both projects will be implemented.
