Vrch Zlatník is located near the village of České Zlatníky near Most. You start with a SW wind and the elevation gain to the landing is about 200m. The hill has been used for flying since the beginning of paragliding in Bohemia. In recent years, disputes between parachutists and the local hunting association have escalated, culminating in 2009 when the Municipality of Most, at the request of hunters, issued a ban on flying in the area of the hill.
We ask everyone to be as quiet as possible on Zlatník, park and land near the cemetery, follow the red tourist sign to the start and try to maintain good relations with local hunters. We also ask everyone to take away any trash from the starting area (even trash left by others - let it not be our responsibility).
Also, do not fly into the area marked in purple in the image below with a height of less than 50m.
The restriction is valid in the period 1.4.-30.10.2011 and from 1.3. to 30.10 in the years 2012-2014

The above-mentioned decision of MU Most is the result of negotiations between the hunting association České Zlatníky, which submitted a proposal to MU Most to ban starting in the Zlatník hill area, on one side and Praglidingklub Krupka (represented by Jakub Havel and Petr Chromec) and LAA ČR (represented by Honza Hájk) on the other.
The official reason for restricting hobby activities is scaring game and disturbing game during the time of raising young.

The current legislative status of the Zlatník hill
Zlatník is currently proposed to establish a reservation. According to the statement of the regional office of Ústí nad Labem, Zlatník is a valuable location, however, the reservation will not be announced until next year at the earliest. The top part of Zlatník is a steppe community, currently threatened especially by the overgrowth of invasive shrubs. According to the statement of the regional office of Ústí nad Labem, the steppe community does not mind the footfall and it should be possible to keep the starting point in operation even after the reservation has been announced. In Zlatník, in addition to the protected Výra Velký, there is also rare flora and community invertebrates.
